Simulair was founded after firsthand experience acting as human bait. We believed no one should ever have to do that - so we built the technology to change it.

A mission born from discomfort

Our story

Maja experienced the problem firsthand when she woke up to bed bugs in her apartment. Despite attempting to move out during treatment, she was told she had to stay in her home for the full treatment period to act as human bait and lure the bed bugs out of hiding.

With no real alternative, she stayed. She searched for other options and discovered there were none. Traditional treatments can take weeks and offer little visibility into what is actually happening during that time.

While studying engineering at KTH, Maja met Simon. In a course focused on designing solutions for real societal problems, they chose to tackle bed bugs. Sandra soon joined the team after learning about the realities of traditional bed bug treatment methods.

Through many prototypes and real-world tests, the team refined their approach. What began as a class project gradually became a functioning machine that attracts, detects, and tracks bed bugs without the need for human bait.

Our goal is simple: no one should ever have to sleep as bait again. We are building tools that bring clarity, control, and confidence to people and businesses dealing with bed bugs.
